Security policy
This is a Security Options policy (Windows Settings > Security Settings), applied by the security engine — not an Administrative Template (ADMX). In GPMC/gpedit it is configured under Local Policies > Security Options.

This setting determines whether a domain controller requires LDAP clients to use signed binds. The historical default is None unless a newer baseline or deployment changes it. Requiring signing blocks unsigned LDAP sessions and mitigates tampering, but legacy clients must first be made compatible.
