Ce paramètre de stratégie permet de configurer Internet Explorer de manière à ce qu’il se renseigne par Internet sur les versions plus récentes. Ainsi configuré, Internet Explorer se renseigne sur les nouvelles versions tous les 30 jours environ, puis, en fonction de la disponibilité de celles-ci, invite les utilisateurs à les installer. Si vous activez ce paramètre de stratégie, Internet Explorer recherche de nouvelles versions via Internet tous les 30 jours environ. Si de nouvelles versions existent, Internet Explorer invite l’utilisateur à télécharger la plus récente. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre de stratégie, Internet Explorer ne recherche pas via Internet de nouvelles versions du navigateur et n’invite donc pas l’utilisateur à les installer. Si vous ne configurez pas ce paramètre de stratégie, Internet Explorer ne recherche pas via Internet de nouvelles versions du navigateur et n’invite donc pas l’utilisateur à les installer.
