Ce paramètre configure l’emplacement où Windows recherche des pilotes quand un nouveau matériel est trouvé. Par défaut, Windows recherche des pilotes aux emplacements suivants : installation locale, lecteurs de disquettes, lecteurs de CD-ROM, Windows Update. Ce paramètre permet de retirer les lecteurs de disquettes et de CD-ROM de l’algorithme de recherche. Si vous activez ce paramètre, vous pouvez retirer les emplacements en activant la case à cocher associée en regard du nom d’emplacement. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre ou ne le configurez pas, Windows effectue une recherche dans l’emplacement d’installation, les lecteurs de disquettes et les lecteurs de CD-ROM. Remarque : pour empêcher la recherche de pilotes sur Windows Update, consultez également « Désactiver la recherche de pilotes de périphériques sur Windows Update » dans « Modèles d’administration/Système/Gestion de la communication Internet/Paramètres de communication Internet ».
