Security policy
This is a Security Options policy (Windows Settings > Security Settings), applied by the security engine — not an Administrative Template (ADMX). In GPMC/gpedit it is configured under Local Policies > Security Options.

This setting makes the SMB client request packet signing when the server supports it. It is enabled by default. Signing protects message integrity and resists tampering, although legacy servers that cannot negotiate it continue without signing unless the companion always-sign policy is enabled.
