Disables automatic updates and removes associated user interface items. This setting interacts with bDeclined. 0: Disables and locks the Updater. Overrides any bDeclined value. 1: No effect. Setting bUpdater to 0 disables the user interface items Preferences > Updater and Help > Check for updates.
