Demande à l’utilisateur d’autres informations d’identification d’ouverture de session au cours des installations effectuées à partir du réseau. Ce paramètre affiche la boîte de dialogue « Installer le programme en tant qu’utilisateur différent », même quand un programme est installé à partir de fichiers sur un ordinateur réseau par le biais d’une connexion réseau locale. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre ou si vous ne le configurez pas, cette boîte de dialogue apparaîtra uniquement lorsque les utilisateurs installeront des programmes à partir d’un média local. La boîte de dialogue « Installer le programme en tant qu’utilisateur différent » demandera à l’utilisateur en cours un nom d’utilisateur et le mot de passe d’un administrateur. Ce paramètre permet aux administrateurs connectés comme utilisateurs simples d’installer des programmes sans se déconnecter et de se reconnecter en utilisant leurs informations d’identification d’administrateur. Si la boîte de dialogue n’apparaît pas, l’installation se poursuit avec les autorisations de l’utilisateur en cours. Si ces autorisations sont insuffisantes, l’installation peut échouer, ou elle peut se terminer mais sans inclure toutes les fonctions. Ou encore, elle peut sembler s’être terminée correctement, mais sans que le programme installé ne fonctionne correctement. Remarque : s’il est activé, le paramètre « Ne pas demander d’autres informations d’identification » a priorité sur ce paramètre. Lorsque ce paramètre est activé, les utilisateurs ne sont invités à entrer d’autres informations d’identification d’ouverture de session pour aucune installation.
