Supprime l’élément Gérer du menu contextuel de l’Explorateur de fichiers. Ce menu contextuel apparaît lorsque vous cliquez avec le bouton droit sur l’Explorateur de fichiers ou sur Poste de travail. L’élément Gérer ouvre le composant Gestion de l’ordinateur (Compmgmt.msc), un outil de la console qui contient nombre d’outils d’administration de base de Windows 2000, tels que l’Observateur d’événements, le Gestionnaire de périphériques, et la Gestion des disques. Pour utiliser la plupart des fonctionnalités de ces outils, vous devez être administrateur. Ce paramètre ne supprime pas l’élément Gestion de l’ordinateur du menu Démarrer (Démarrer, Programmes, Outils d’administration, Gestion de l’ordinateur), et elle n’empêche pas non plus l’utilisateur de recourir à d’autres méthodes pour démarrer Gestion de l’ordinateur. Conseil : pour masquer tous les menus contextuels, utilisez le paramètre « Supprimer le menu contextuel par défaut de l’Explorateur de fichiers ».
