Ce paramètre de stratégie permet de restreindre les moteurs de recherche affichés dans la zone de recherche d’Internet Explorer à ceux définis dans la liste des clés de stratégie des moteurs de recherche (figurant sous [HKCU ou HKLM\Software\policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes]). Normalement, les moteurs de recherche peuvent être ajoutés à partir de barres d’outils tierces ou dans le programme d’installation. Cependant, l’utilisateur peut également en ajouter à partir du site Web d’un moteur de recherche. Si vous activez ce paramètre de stratégie, l’utilisateur ne peut pas configurer la liste des moteurs de recherche sur son ordinateur. En outre, les éventuels moteurs par défaut installés ne sont pas affichés (y compris les moteurs installés à partir d’autres applications). Les seuls moteurs qui s’affichent sont ceux de la liste des clés de stratégie pour les moteurs de recherche. Remarque : cette liste peut être créée via un fichier de modèle d’administration personnalisé. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre de stratégie ou si vous ne le configurez pas, l’utilisateur peut configurer sa propre liste de moteurs de recherche.
