Ce paramètre affecte la présentation du menu Démarrer. Le menu Démarrer classique de Windows 2000 Professionnel permet aux utilisateurs de commencer des tâches communes, alors que le nouveau menu Démarrer regroupe les éléments communs dans un seul menu. Quand le menu Démarrer classique est utilisé, les icônes suivantes sont placées sur le Bureau : Documents, Images, Musique, Ordinateur et Réseau. Le nouveau menu Démarrer permet de les démarrer directement. Si vous activez ce paramètre, le menu Démarrer classique de type Windows 2000 s’affiche avec les icônes standard du Bureau. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre, le menu Démarrer s’affiche uniquement dans son nouveau style, ce qui signifie que les icônes du Bureau apparaissent désormais sur la page de démarrage. Si vous ne configurez pas ce paramètre, le style par défaut est le nouveau style et l’utilisateur peut modifier l’affichage.
