Ce paramètre de stratégie contrôle la méthode utilisée par Outlook pour l’authentification auprès de Microsoft Exchange Server. Remarque : Exchange Server prend en charge le protocole d’authentification Kerberos et NTLM pour l’authentification. Méthode d’authentification présentant le niveau de sécurité le plus élevé, le protocole Kerberos est pris en charge sous Windows 2000 Server et toute version ultérieure. L’authentification NTLM est prise en charge dans les environnements préalables à Windows 2000. Si vous activez ce paramètre de stratégie, vous disposez de trois options de contrôle de l’authentification d’Outlook auprès de Microsoft Exchange Server : - Authentification par mot de passe Kerberos/NTLM. Outlook tente de s’authentifier à l’aide du protocole d’authentification Kerberos. En cas d’échec, Outlook tente de s’authentifier à l’aide de NTLM. Cette option correspond à la configuration par défaut. - Authentification par mot de passe Kerberos. Outlook tente de s’authentifier à l’aide du protocole Kerberos uniquement. - Authentification par mot de passe NTLM. Outlook tente de s’authentifier à l’aide de NTLM uniquement. Si vous désactivez ou ne configurez pas ce paramètre de stratégie, Outlook tente de s’authentifier à l’aide du protocole d’authentification Kerberos. En cas d’échec (aucun contrôleur de domaine Windows 2000 ou ultérieur disponible), il utilise NTLM.
