Ce paramètre de stratégie permet de spécifier un type de chiffrement pour les fichiers Office 97-2003 protégés par mot de passe. Si vous activez ce paramètre de stratégie, vous pouvez spécifier le type de chiffrement utilisé par les applications Office pour chiffrer les fichiers protégés par mot de passe dans les formats de fichiers antérieurs à Office 97-2003. Pour le type de chiffrement sélectionné, un fournisseur de services de chiffrement (CSP) correspondant doit être installé sur l’ordinateur qui opère le chiffrement du fichier. Pour obtenir la liste des fournisseurs de services de chiffrement installés sur l’ordinateur local, voir la clé de Registre HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\Defaults\Provider\. Spécifiez le type de chiffrement à utiliser dans la zone de texte prévue à cet effet, selon la syntaxe suivante : <Fournisseur de chiffrement>,<Algorithme de chiffrement>,<Longueur de la clé de chiffrement>. Exemple : Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0,RC4,128 Si vous ne configurez pas ce paramètre de stratégie, Excel, PowerPoint et Word utilisent le chiffrement compatible avec Office 97/2000, une méthode de chiffrement propriétaire, pour chiffrer les fichiers Office 97-2003 protégés par mot de passe.
