Ce paramètre de stratégie contrôle la possibilité de désactiver toutes les optimisations de correctifs. Si vous activez ce paramètre de stratégie, toutes les options d’optimisation des correctifs sont désactivées pendant l’installation. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre de stratégie ou si vous ne le configurez pas, l’application des correctifs est accélérée, car l’exécution d’actions inutiles n’a pas lieu. Le mode de mise à jour corrective optimisée concerne surtout les correctifs qui mettent simplement à jour quelques fichiers ou valeurs de Registre. Windows Installer recherche des modifications spécifiques dans le correctif pour déterminer si l’optimisation est possible. Si c’est le cas, le correctif est appliqué avec un traitement minimal.
