Ce paramètre détermine si Internet Explorer télécharge automatiquement les mises à jour du fichier VersionList.XML de Microsoft. Internet Explorer utilise ce fichier pour déterminer si le chargement d’un contrôle ActiveX doit être interrompu ou non. Si vous activez ce paramètre, Internet Explorer ne télécharge plus les mises à jour du fichier VersionList.XML. La désactivation du téléchargement automatique désactive la fonction de blocage des contrôles ActiveX obsolète en empêchant la mise à jour de la liste de versions avec de nouveaux contrôles obsolètes, susceptibles de compromettre la sécurité de votre ordinateur. Si vous désactivez ou que vous ne configurez pas ce paramètre, Internet Explorer continue de télécharger des versions à jour de VersionList.XML.
