Empêche Internet Explorer de vérifier s’il est bien le navigateur par défaut. Si vous activez ce paramètre de stratégie, la case à cocher Au démarrage, vérifier si Internet Explorer est le navigateur par défaut, sous l’onglet Programmes de la boîte de dialogue Options Internet, est estompée. Si vous désactivez ce paramètre de stratégie ou si vous ne le configurez pas, les utilisateurs peuvent déterminer si Internet Explorer doit vérifier qu’il est le navigateur par défaut. Au moment où Internet Explorer effectue cette vérification, il demande à l’utilisateur de spécifier le navigateur à utiliser par défaut. Ce paramètre de stratégie est destiné aux entreprises qui ne souhaitent pas que les utilisateurs déterminent quel doit être le navigateur par défaut. Le paramètre de stratégie « Désactiver l’onglet Programmes » (situé dans \Configuration utilisateur\Modèles d’administration\Composants Windows\Internet Explorer\Panneau de Configuration de Internet), qui supprime l’onglet Programmes d’Internet Explorer dans le Panneau de configuration, a priorité sur ce paramètre de stratégie. Lorsqu’il est activé, ce paramètre de stratégie est ignoré.
